Whitney made the move from Brunswick, Georgia to Atlanta over 10 years ago to pursue studies in Public Policy and Urban Planning. In that time, she had the privilege of working with leading institutions in Higher Education, Quasi-Governmental Affairs, City Government, County Government, and the Private sector. Each experience, she encountered highly intelligent and passionate individuals who, unfortunately, have not been able to realize the dreams that drove them into public service - to use their creative and innovative ideas and gifts for the betterment of communities we serve. She feared that the result of their unrealized dreams are steadily leading the states capitol city and  metropolitan area to struggles with unaffordable rents, new development that overlooks the needs of the existing communities and traffic congestion! (Just to name a few challenges).

 

Shortly after the life-changing experience of becoming a mother in 2018, she realized that waiting for change was not an option. She was compelled to bring her own dreams to life and help others with extraordinary visions develop healthy and sustainable communities for people, places and the planet. Through this realization, Brunswick Redevelopment Group (BRG) was born. The company name pays homage to the place where the journey began in Brunswick, Ga.
